Enowi Psychotherapy exists to ignite the ember within you.
I’m Lindsay Buchanan, a highly trained Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist in Advanced Training based near St. Ives and Penzance in beautiful West Cornwall. Through Enowi I offer a refined, bespoke therapeutic experience for those ready to invest in profound transformation. My practice is based in years of clinical and proven experience. Here, therapy is not a process but a spark—a moment that warms, illuminates, and sets the course for something extraordinary.

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.

Why Choose Me?
With over a decade of experience in mental health and therapeutic practice, I bring depth, skill, and empathy to every session.
My background includes working as a Functional Family Therapist and in specialist youth services, supporting individuals through challenges such as self-harm, substance misuse, and suicidal thoughts.
This extensive experience means I understand complexity and nuance, no matter what challenge you may be facing or personal growth you aspire to.
My additional expertise in sociology and demographics offers a unique perspective on how societal and cultural factors shape our lives.
My Therapy Style
Therapy with me is collaborative, dynamic, and tailored to you.
I provide a calm, nurturing space—but I’m not just a passive listener. Expect thoughtful questions, creative metaphors, and gentle challenges to help you break free from patterns that hold you back.
I specialize in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy, an approach that explores how past experiences influence present behavior, empowering you to create lasting change. I have years of clinical experience and helping be a catalyst for growth and change for clients. Sessions are designed to be engaging, insightful, and deeply transformative.

My Therapy Space
When I was searching for a home for Enowi, I knew I needed a space where I could walk through the door and feel my shoulders drop. That feeling matters. I want the room to welcome you in the same way — to soften you, to settle you, to give you permission to focus on what brought you to therapy in the first place.
My office is cosy and relaxed, with snuggly chairs, blankets you can curl into, and a sofa that invites you to get comfortable in your own way. If sitting on the floor feels more you, that’s absolutely fine — I’ll join you. There’s also a stash of fidget toys within easy reach for busy hands or grounding moments.
The studio is full of natural light, and I keep soft lamps on throughout the day — no harsh overhead lighting, ever. You’re also welcome to witness my ongoing attempts not to neglect my plants… it’s a journey.
The space is private, discreet, and tucked away in a rural location with on-site parking. I love talking openly about therapy and reducing stigma, but I also know that many of my clients value confidentiality and the quiet reassurance of arriving somewhere that feels out of the way and held.
And if being outdoors supports your process, we can take our work outside. My office sits beside private woodland and farmland, with paths to wander and benches where we can sit and watch the horses. You get to choose the pace, the setting, and the way your therapy unfolds.

Outside the therapy room.
Being Cornish and living in West Cornwall means muddy stanks, making friends with all the animals I cross paths with (consensually of course!) beach walks, swimming and connecting with nature. I love cooking, kitchen dance parties, gardening, attempting to be creative whether through crafts, writing or art and reading everything from academic texts to guilty-pleasure novels. I have a tendency to be adventurous and enjoy trying new things, be that aerial yoga, pilates, lyra, paddle boarding and usually end up laughing about my utter lack of coordination. I love returning to those constant companion hobbies too, the ones that bring me deep joy and calm.
I’m a mother, wife, daughter, and friend. I embrace the multiplicity of these roles and invite the same from you as my client. I like to enjoy the complexity and multifaceted beauty of life and what makes each of us unique.
If I sound like your kind of person, please get in touch and fill out my Contact form, so together we can ignite your embers.
